Health MOTs

It is important that we take good care of our body. After all we only get one! As we get older it is ever more important that we take care of ourselves, and crucially that we are armed with the right information of how to do this. With all the information out there on Dr Google and online, it can be tricky knowing where to start.

Our Health MOTs do exactly this, starting with an in-depth MOT to find out where you are with your health and offer expert, evidence based advice to create an action plan to help you make progress. Our goal is simple, give you the tools to keep doing what you want to do for as long as possible.

The session starts with a comprehensive health discussion about your medical history and medications followed by exploring other details such as family history, activity levels, occupational impact and diet (or fuel, if we are sticking to the car analogy).

You will then be offered a blood pressure, heart rate and pulse check, as well as measuring your height and weight, this is followed by a comprehensive movement screen which assesses your strength, flexibility, mobility, balance and cardiovascular health where appropriate.

Finally, your results will be discussed with you in detail and alongside our therapist the opportunity to create an individualised plan with tailored support and review of your progress.
